  • Coaching: Work through your employee relations issues with an HR Professional who can guide you towards your goals

  • Mediation: Reduce obstacles to communication between participants, address the needs of everyone involved, and maximize the discovery of alternatives

  • Connections: connecting you to resources to achieve goals such as technology needs, marketing needs, or sales needs

Natalie R. Brown, SPHR, SHRM-SCP

Natalie Brown is the Human Resources Director at the University of Michigan’s School of Dentistry. As the HR Director, Natalie provides strategic leadership and oversight for the school’s Human Resources strategy and operations. Guided by the leading best practices in organizational development initiatives, Natalie plans, directs and implements the school’s HR strategy to recruit and retain a talented and diverse faculty and staff. Helping organizations advance their mission and people advance their careers, has been the guiding motivation behind her work and success. 

 

Natalie was born and raised in Ann Arbor. She received her B.S. and M.B.A. from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in Tallahassee, Florida. She continued her education at Eastern Michigan University receiving a Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management. Natalie holds both HR certifications: SPHR and SHRM-SCP. 

 

Even as an active member of the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti community, Natalie continues to serve others through her volunteer commitments. Currently, she is a volunteer with CUPA-HR’s Michigan Chapter, previously held two Committee Chair positions (Diversity Chair and Social Media Chair) for the Greater Ann Arbor Society for Human Resources (GAASHRM), served on the board of State of Michigan National African American Association of Human Resources (NAAAHR) chapter and volunteered at the NAAAHR national conference. Additionally, Natalie’s passion for others and the community is displayed through her decade of activity with a national community service sorority.
